Introduction

In this simple article, efforts would be made to detail steps that can make you a programmer. The most crucial step is sticking to your vision. That being said, let us explain what programming is.

What is programming?

In simple terms, programming is the set of instructions given to a computer to solve problems. Programming is the art while a program is derived from programming. In all of this, software is to be included. Software is the industry and general name for every program that has both documentation and other engineering requirements. Thus, software is any computer program that conforms to all engineering standards.

Tools needed to program effectively.

To effectively program, you need to at a minimum, have the following available:

  • A computer, running at a minimum Windows 8.0 for windows based OS;
  • A table and chair to serve as your workspace;
  • Internet access;
  • A serene environment.

Programming platforms teaching programming for free: the following platforms offer programming courses for free. Yes, there are actual platforms where you can start your programming journey for free without actually paying any amount. The easiest way to learn is by practicing what is taught.

  • W3schools offer a beginner journey to programming;
  • Freecodecamp is one of the very useful platforms to learn how to write programs;
  • Geeksforgeeks is a place where you can learn programming and ask questions.
  • YouTube is another place to watch video tutorials. It has lots of videos that focus on both beginners and advanced.

Conclusion

It is easier to start a journey but very difficult to stay on that journey till the end. If you have an interest in writing programs, start from the basics and work your way up. Stay consistent and focused.
